Fabulous Creatures...

Dragon-Eggs

They are hard to find, those Dragon-Eggs. That's because they really look and feel like stones. You never can be sure if the oval stone you have found is the egg of an dragon or a simple stone, washed round by the water. And even if it is a dragons egg, it takes years to be hatched.

So these eggs here are severly years old already. And, watch out: The baby-dragons are just about to come out! The first part of the shell is already broken and the little dragon is eyeing the unknown world, that is awaiting him.

Gargoyles

Gargoyles are particularly found on the roofs of cathedrals.  There they stand majestically and furchteinfloessend and guard the church, on which they live. If one climbs up to them during the day, they seem to be of solid stone, partially in gigantic extents and always completely unique. There are no two in the world, which are completely alike. They are said to be fallen angels, who were condemned to guard the churches as a kind of punishment.  Other people believe, they are age-old creatures of the Otherworld, who make themselves comfortable on churches, because they like the good view. And because it is their domicile, they naturally watch out for it.

Yes, those gargoyles are famous. Hardly know, however, are their little brothers who can grow up to about 30 cm but mostly are smaller. Theydo not live on roofs, but in dwellings or rooms.  But those they guard just as well as the large ones their churches. Some of them now came to Sorcerer's Grove: Serberus and Ataeus with the sword...

Dragons

they are known as monsters, firespitting and stealing cattle. Those who know better, admire them as the warden of the Old Knowledge. Today they are expected to steal maidens - especially prinzesses and to wallow on golden treasures. But in fact they would not know what to do with a prinzess - she surely cannot cook and knows nothing about the grooming of scales. And treasures are much too hard to lay upon them and they are cold! In fact a dragon prefers to lay down on a shallow hill and to watch the creatures passing by; perhaps a little chat now and then and of course reading a good book; but most of all: peace! They have been hunted for such a long time - they deserve some peacetimes. Don't you agree?

All right, there are some dragons, who like to sleep on gold...
